* Paul’s letter now shifts from simply speaking of those who are practicing evil to those who are judging others, while they themselves are doing the same
 How many times do we do the exact same thing, we look at someone and judge what they do while secretly living the same way as they do. Partaking in the same things that we are pointing out in others? * Paul points out the they take for granted God’s riches and kindness, His patience and not understanding that this is not God being “Ok” with what they do, but rather it is His kindness that is to lead us to repentance. How many times do we take the lack of punishment as a free pass to continue doing what is wrong? Instead of seeing it as God’s loving and sovereign gift calling us to repentance ? * They think that they are getting away with it, but we see in verse 5, that all they are doing is “storing up wrath” for themselves. * Paul then begins to teach that ALL will be judged by God, it doesn’t matter if they are a Jew or a Greek … God will Judge each one, he judges the “Secrets of Men” How many times have we hid our sin? How many time have we foolishly believed that we have not been “caught” - But God Judges the Secrets of Men, there is nothing he does not know. * We see Paul then spend some time speaking about those who pride themselves in teaching other, the ones who boast about their spirituality and he does a 180 degree turn, and confronts them - Paul confronts their hypocracy, he calls them out for not being able to live up to all they are telling others to do. And the he gives it straight to them - to those who think that because they were the Jews, the chosen people - that because they bare the external sign (circumcision) that they are better. Paul tells them that it is as if they were not circumcised (chosen), that what matters is the circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit. Think about what that means? Circumcision is a physical sign - Circumcision of the heart then must be a sign that through the Spirit something has been cut off, been removed from you. 
Does the way that we live, think, speak reflect that there has been a change in our hearts? That we are no longer the same? That the Spirit of God has marked us? Thoughts: 
 In which way do I find myself pointing out the flaws of others while I myself am doing the same? Have I taken for granted God’s lack of punishment towards me? Does His patience with me not move me towards repentance? Does my life reflect a genuine change of my heart? Or does it reflect rather that there has yet to be a genuine change? Prayer: Heavenly Father, I recognize that you are holy and righteous - and that I have not seen your patience. With me and my sin as a guide to repentance. Lord help my eyes see, guide my steps to follow you truly. Lord search within me and bring to the surface all the secrets that I hide, that I may be able to repent and surrender them to you. Father, change me through your Holy Spirit, let me life reflect a heart that has been forever changed by you.
